Since I listened to “The Mesektet” by fLako I just can’t get enough. It seems though fLako aka Dirg Gerner is changing his musical direction lately. His latest releases take some time to get into. His earlier tracks were instant classics in my playlist though. Lately fLako released some Leftovers from 2008 for free which is like the second additional 7” to The Mesektet. Check it out!

Disclosure are bubbling up for a few months now. Getting your hands on older vinyl releases is a cumbersome task nowadays. Like with so many artists getting a lot of attention lately. Good thing though they are releasing their EP for free on Facebook. Just “like” their page and follow the link in the info box. LuckyMe Advent

LuckyMe, artist collective record label from Scotland, releases artists like Machinedrum, Lunice, Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Mike Slott and Jacques Greene. From December 1st until 25th they offer a free download every day. So right now there are 20 free tracks waiting for you. I really enjoyed listening to todays track “Vinter” from Dema. I’m not sure if they are available after the 25th, so get the tracks while they are online.

In the past weeks I had some of Jamie xx’ remixes on heavy rotation but this remix just blows my mind ever time I listen to it. Stunning track. I wonder what he’s going to drop next.

A friend of mine started playing BassDrive radio in the office and Technicolour’s Stolen Hours show immediately captured my attention. As most Drum’n’Bass radio streams out there are simply annoying, Technicolour makes the difference. You basically can listen to any of his shows. The music is always fantastic. He manages the perfect balance between bass and melodies. Listen for yourself in the show’s archives.

Apart from his radio show he releases his own tracks. A free release is “The Vection EP” which can pre-listen on Soundcloud or get the WAV-files here. I ♥ “Saviour”.

[adult swim] released a promotional compilation called [unclassified] featuring artists like XXXY, Untold, Geenus, SBTRKT, Zomby, Dauwd, Burial, Kode9, Pinch, Cooly G and some more. And believe it or not: it’s free! The website is a little awkward at first - one of the we-have-it-all-and-rip-you-off websites - but the release is official and you download the compilation without giving away your E-Mail. ;) So get it while it’s there!

I stumbled upon these releases by Entropy Records a some time ago but I come back to it every once in a while. The two part compilation “The Resistance Of Aguilar” was released in support of the Aguilar Dubtechno Festival, which was canceled earlier this year by the local authorities. It seems for no good reason though.

It features artists like Fingers In The Noise, Zzzzra, Overcast Sound, Mind over MIDI and many more artists to discover. I especially enjoyed AXS, Basicnoise, Layer Hack and The Marx Trukker. Both parts start of slow but take on speed beyond track 3. You can pre-listen to Part I and Part II on Entropy Record’s Soundcloud page. Although I don’t really get into the whole Witch House thingy I keep coming back to this one track of Balam Acab: See Birds (Moon). It’s the one track of the EP I can listen to over and over again. And you can get it for free at XLR8R. And there is another great free track Heavy Living Things, which is not part of the EP. On his MySpace page you can also download the free Coyote Clean Up Dub remix of See Birds. Sadly the other two Mediafire Downloads are blocked by MySpace and I could find them anywhere else so far.
